Job title: Apprentice – Internal Communications
Role Summary:
An internal communications apprentice will develop, manage, and publish content across the company’s intranet, internal magazine, and other internal channels. The role includes graphic design, multimedia production, performance reporting, and support for internal events, all aimed at engaging employees and enhancing organizational cohesion.
Expectations:
* Deliver high‑quality written, visual, and multimedia content that reflects the organization’s brand and messaging.
* Maintain and improve intranet functionality and content freshness.
* Produce and edit short videos, photos, and interview reports to showcase internal initiatives and employee stories.
* Provide monthly analytics reports on communication channel performance.
* Collaborate with the communication team to plan and execute internal events and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce and publish intranet articles, videos, photos, and other digital assets.
2. Create graphic layouts for the internal magazine using InDesign; design brochures, flyers, and other collateral.
3. Film, photograph, and edit short internal news reports; conduct employee interviews.
4. Monitor and report on metrics for intranet, email, and other internal channels.
5. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal events and employee engagement activities.
6. Suggest enhancements to communication tools and formats based on employee feedback and performance data.
7. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of internal communication best practices and emerging media tools.
Required Skills:
* Excellent writing, copy‑editing, and French language proficiency.
* Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro or iMovie (preferred).
* Basic web‑management skills (content updates, CMS familiarity).
* Creative, detail‑oriented, and able to produce aesthetically pleasing content.
* Self‑motivated with strong initiative, organizational ability, and priority setting.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac +4/5) in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.
* Seeking a one‑year apprenticeship (internship) commencing September/October 2024.
* No additional certifications required, but familiarity with design/animation software is an advantage.
