**Job Title:** Procurement Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Establish and lead a new procurement function from the ground up, designing policies, frameworks, and processes that align with business objectives and regulatory standards. Drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and performance measurement to deliver cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across indirect spend categories.
**Expectations:**
- Build procurement structure independently, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning with executive strategy.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Operate in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment, managing multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and continuously improve procurement processes and governance models.
- Create procurement frameworks, tools, and dashboards to support strategy execution and reporting.
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities: supplier selection, RFP development, contract negotiation, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Drive cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency through strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate procurement data (contracts, spend analysis, risk documentation) and deliver analytics on savings, supplier performance, and activity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies across all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with finance, technology, and business units to align procurement strategies with budget objectives and business needs.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within financial services or regulated environments.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency with procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba) and spend analytics tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and commercial awareness capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects, maintain high detail orientation, and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of procurement experience; CIPS qualification or equivalent is desirable.
