**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:** Own end‑to‑end delivery of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud‑native services for Defence and National Security mission‑critical systems. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring frameworks to enable rapid, reliable deployments across multiple cloud providers.
**Expectations:**

- Proven ability to work effectively in Agile, cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain UK National Security vetting (SC required to start, DV level expected).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud‑native and containerised environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Apply Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; collaborate on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure resilience.
- Partner with developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Share knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute to continuous learning culture.
**Required Skills:**
- Hands‑on DevOps experience across one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
- Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalents).
- Agile project experience; ability to thrive in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
- Secure coding, compliance, and data protection awareness.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, Docker Certified Associate, Jenkins Engineer) – desirable but not mandatory.
