Job Description
Job title: Plumber – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Role Summary: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, fixtures, and commercial heating systems in studio buildings and stages, ensuring compliance with manufacturer instructions and water regulations. Expectations: Demonstrate strong customer communication (face‑to‑face, telephone, email), adhere to H&S guidelines, work independently with weekly planning, and proactively develop technical skills within a team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform scheduled maintenance on plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings. - Install and repair sanitary ware, heaters, showers, and related pipework. - Replace parts of mains water installations, commercial heating systems, pumps, valves, expansion joints, and radiators. - Conduct pipe fitting, replacement, and lagging duties as required. - Assist with fuel deliveries and tank dips. - Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards, water regulations, and internal quality expectations. - Maintain a safe work environment in line with H&S guidelines. Required Skills: - Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent plumbing accreditation. - Proven experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing. - Knowledge of water regulations and commercial heating systems (including unvented hot water systems). - Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). - Strong health‑and‑safety awareness. - Effective verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues. - Self‑driven, results‑oriented, reliable, flexible, and a team player. Required Education & Certifications: - NVQ Level 3 Plumbing or equivalent accreditation. - Gas Safe registration (desirable). - Any additional trade qualification (e.g., heating, electrical) is an advantage.
