Job Description
Job Title: Loans Closer Analyst – Investment Role Summary Execute end‑to‑end closing of secondary loan trades, focusing on Par, Distressed, and Private Security transactions. Coordinate with trading, sales, legal, compliance, and external counterparties to ensure accurate and timely settlement, documentation, and risk booking. Expectations - Deliver precise trade affirmation and settlement processing. - Maintain adherence to operational, legal, and credit conditions. - Resolve settlement breaks and minimise market and operational risk. - Manage loan restructuring documentation and position updates. Key Responsibilities - Monitor trading systems for new secondary loan trades and affirm trades with external clients. - Lead full loan closing cycle for Par, Distressed, and Private Security trades, ensuring all conditions precedent are met. - Review LMA‑style credit agreements and loan documents to identify transfer requirements. - Draft, review, and negotiate trade confirmations, transfer certificates, and related documentation. - Coordinate settlements via ClearPar and bilateral processes, managing interactions with agents, counterparties, and internal stakeholders. - Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading, Agency, and Controllers to secure approvals and resolve issues. - Manage loan‑to‑loan and loan‑to‑private security restructurings, updating systems and positions. - Proactively identify and address settlement breaks to mitigate risk. Required Skills - Proven experience in Global Markets / Investment Banking loan operations or middle office. - Direct exposure to Par and Distressed Bank Loan closing. - Hands‑on ClearPar experience for secondary trade processing and settlement. - Strong familiarity with LMA‑based credit agreements and transfer documentation. - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities. - Detail‑oriented risk management mindset. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Treasury Professional, Financial Risk Manager) are an advantage.
