Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerized workloads to support rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery across Azure and AWS platforms. Collaborate with development, architecture, operations, and security teams to enhance developer experience, system stability, and observability.
Expectations:
- Deliver robust, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud environments using IaC.
- Implement and evolve CI/CD tooling for fast, repeatable deployments.
- Ensure security, compliance, and compliance with DevSecOps standards in all stages.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response.
- Continuously improve tooling, practices, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Automate build, test, deployment, and provisioning processes.
- Design, deploy, and operate Azure/AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation, etc.
- Create & maintain containerized workloads (Docker) and orchestrate using Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE).
- Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting (Datadog, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor).
- Integrate security scanning (SAST, DAST, dependency, container) into pipelines.
- Manage secrets securely with Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Vault.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and support to improve velocity and reliability.
- Produce clear documentation and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Identify toolchain improvements to reduce friction.
Required Skills:
- CI/CD tooling: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
- Cloud platforms: Azure and/or AWS.
- IaC: Terraform preferred; Ansible, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation acceptable.
- Container & Orchestration: Docker; Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE).
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Networking, security fundamentals, Linux/Windows system administration.
- Monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor).
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure/pipeline issues.
Desired (Optional):
- Service mesh, API gateway, ingress controller experience.
- Regulated/enterprise environment exposure.
- SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning).
- FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
- Service mesh or API gateway knowledge.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate) preferred but not mandatory.
