Job Description: **Job title** Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Pricing **Role Summary** Design, deploy, and own end‑to‑end production machine learning systems that drive real‑time pricing for a global shared micromobility platform. The role blends advanced ML modeling, backend development, and product strategy to optimize pricing decisions under uncertainty at large scale. **Expectations** - Own the full lifecycle of pricing ML models: design, productionize, monitor, and iterate. - Translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions. - Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, communicating model performance and technical direction. - Mentor junior engineers, raising the team’s delivery standards and technical depth. **Key Responsibilities** - Translate business problems into production‑ready ML systems. - Develop, iterate on, and productionize machine learning models and associated infrastructure. - Implement backend pricing services and APIs consumed by the mobile app. - Architect and build scalable, highly available platforms that support real‑time pricing decisions. - Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to elevate ML quality standards. - Mentor and support team members, fostering growth and future leadership. **Required Skills** - 5+ years of industry software engineering experience deploying ML at scale. - 2+ years in reinforcement learning; proven experience with reward design, policy optimization, and multi‑armed bandits. - 2+ years of backend development (Ruby on Rails a plus). - Fluency in Python with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). - Competence with SQL, pandas, Apache Spark, Airflow. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred). - Optional: Experience with Snowflake, SageMaker, and Ruby on Rails. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
