Job Description
Job title: Paralegal Apprentice Role Summary: Support global lawyers across multiple practice areas by completing transactional tasks, maintaining administrative systems, and progressing towards a qualified paralegal apprenticeship. Work within a diverse, collaborative team while ensuring high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables. Expectations: - Deliver accurate, timely work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. - Demonstrate continuous improvement and take initiative in learning legal processes. - Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. - Manage independent workload and meet training milestones towards apprenticeship qualification. Key Responsibilities: - Assist paralegals and lawyers with document drafting, research, and transaction preparation across Global Financial Markets, Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation, and Tax. - Update and maintain internal trackers, status sheets, and project documentation. - Communicate progress, coordinate schedules, and attend scheduled meetings/webinars. - Execute administrative housekeeping tasks to support team efficiency. - Represent and uphold the culture of an inclusive workplace within the Newcastle office. - Progress through apprenticeship training programmes, meeting required competencies. Required Skills: - Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities. - Effective, flexible written and verbal communication. - Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation. - Self-motivated, independent task management, and time‑management discipline. - Enthusiastic, hardworking, and adaptable to changing priorities. - Commitment to continuous learning and apprenticeship development. Required Education & Certifications: - 5 GCSEs (A‑C / 9‑4) including Mathematics and English or equivalent. - 3 A‑levels (or equivalent) with grades A‑D. - Legal apprenticeship qualification not yet obtained; eligible for Level 3 paralegal apprenticeship.
