Job Description
**Job Title:** Accounting Internship **Role Summary:** Fixed‑term (4‑7 weeks) internship providing hands‑on experience in accounting and financial services. Interns support day‑to‑day accounting tasks, receive mentorship from senior accountants, and gain insight into the pathway toward Chartered Accountant qualification. **Expectations:** - Currently in the 3rd year of a university degree (accounting, finance, or related). - Strong desire to pursue a graduate program and eventual CA qualification. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Collaborative team player comfortable meeting tight deadlines. - Adaptable to a fast‑paced, changing environment and open to continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist with bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger maintenance. - Support preparation of financial statements and management reports. - Perform basic account reconciliations and variance analysis. - Conduct data entry and maintain accurate financial records. - Contribute to audit and compliance tasks under supervision. - Research accounting standards and assist in client documentation. - Participate in team meetings and share insights to improve processes. **Required Skills:** - Fundamental accounting knowledge and numeracy. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Comfortable with behavioral, numerical, and comprehension assessments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s program (accounting, finance, economics, or related field), minimum 3rd‑year standing. - No prior professional certification required; eligibility to begin CA training after graduation.
