**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating robust cloud platforms on AWS and Azure. Leverages Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Docker to automate infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments. Implements security controls, monitors performance, and collaborates with development teams on micro‑service architectures.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with IT/InfoSec guidelines and AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
- Provide operational support and continuous improvement for SaaS products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and automate AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, EMR, etc.) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including networking, logging, monitoring, and auto‑scaling.
- Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines to build Docker images and deploy micro‑services (Akka, Play Framework).
- Define and enforce security policies: IAM, SSO, security groups, data encryption, and network security best practices.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to align architecture and deployment strategies.
- Use Git for source control and standardize workflow practices.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience; strong background in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Proficient in Terraform, CloudFormation, and IaC principles.
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster management and container orchestration.
- Expertise in Docker, micro‑services, and CI/CD pipeline design (Jenkins).
- Strong scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
- Deep knowledge of cloud and network security (IAM, encryption, firewalls).
- Familiarity with big data services (Hadoop/Spark) optional.
- Clear, concise communication and consultative collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 5+ years DevOps engineering experience.
- Certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator Associate, Terraform Associate.
