Job Title: Freelance AI Consultant – Data Engineer / Solutions Architect / Product Manager
Role Summary: Mid to Senior level independent consultants delivering end‑to‑end AI transformation solutions. Work on AI‑centric data pipelines, enterprise architecture design, and product strategy for large‑scale digital initiatives, typically for 2‑12 month engagements.
Expectations: • Ability to work entirely independently and manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables. • Demonstrated experience on proven AI projects, preferably through consulting engagements or as an independent practitioner. • Comfortable operating in a hybrid environment and engaging with stakeholders across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
**Data Engineer** – Design, implement, and maintain scalable AI data pipelines; manage data ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, and orchestration across cloud and on‑premise environments.
**Solutions Architect** – Analyze business requirements, define AI solution architecture, select appropriate cloud services and tooling, and ensure system integration and performance.
**Product Manager** – Own product lifecycle from concept to launch, align cross‑functional teams, prioritize features, define success metrics, and interact with clients to drive value delivery.
Required Skills: • Proven AI project delivery (ML, DW, or analytics). • Strong programming (Python, SQL) and data engineering (ETL, Spark, Airflow). • Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Design thinking and solution architecture fundamentals. • Product management experience including stakeholder communication, roadmap planning, and metrics. • Excellent written and verbal communication, self‑management, and problem‑solving.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Product Manager certification such as PMI‑ACP or Certified Scrum Product Owner) are advantageous.
