Job title: Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure to support rapid product growth while ensuring observability, compliance, and cost efficiency. Own end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle, from architecture to production support, and drive operational excellence across engineering teams.
Expectations: 4–7 years experience in infrastructure, security, or DevOps roles within high‑growth or high‑load environments. Demonstrated ownership of infrastructure from design through to production. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to improving system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) to support backend, frontend, and data services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits and maintain compliance readiness.
- Lead observability initiatives: logging, metrics, tracing, and on‑call incident management.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud spend while maintaining high system performance.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across engineering.
Required Skills:
- Cloud platforms: Azure (primary), AWS (valuable).
- IaC & orchestration: Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker.
- CI/CD & automation: GitHub Actions, scripting (Python, Bash).
- Observability & monitoring: logging, metrics, tracing frameworks.
- Networking, cloud security best practices.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL; cloud storage solutions.
- Compliance standards: SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR familiarity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Certified Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes Administrator are advantageous.
