Job Title: Automation Engineer – HMI (IHM)
Role Summary:
Design, program, and verify automation systems for marine, industrial, and oil & gas customers. Lead projects involving redundant PLCs, supervisory control, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity. Produce technical documentation, interface with clients and certifiers, and conduct factory acceptance testing.
Expectations:
- Minimum 3 years experience in automation engineering.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in PLC programming, supervisory software (PCVue, Intouch, etc.), and industrial networking.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity measures for control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional design of PLC, network, and communication architectures.
- HMI design and integration into control systems.
- Prepare design, installation, and test documentation.
- Program control systems and improve associated tools and standards.
- Deploy required cybersecurity controls.
- Collaborate with CAD team to produce equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, interconnection schematics, and IO lists.
- Maintain client, certification body, and supplier interfaces.
- Organize and perform factory acceptance tests with clients and certifiers.
- Track engineering activities: update schedule, monitor hours, assess deliverables, estimate remaining work, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and report status.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Commissioning, and After‑Sales departments.
Required Skills:
- PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider).
- Supervisory/control software (PCVue, Intouch, or equivalent).
- Industrial network configuration (Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP, Profibus, etc.).
- Cybersecurity fundamentals for SCADA/ICS environments.
- Technical documentation and diagramming (AutoCAD).
- Project management and planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as PLC programming, SCADA/ICS, or cybersecurity (preferred but not mandatory).
