WHY

Our founder's direct experience of supporting a Finance team in-sourcing led him to a realisation: these people were the real heroes. Sure, driving sales was critical, but it became clear that the success of any organisation depended upon the quality of their Accounting and Finance professionals.

Contacting recruitment firms in the market to help, he found the services unresponsive: poor candidate care and low quality networks seemed to be the norm. While their communications and offering treated all Accountants as dull number-crunching automatons.

Harmonic was born as a response to this. We have the hands-on experience of leading Finance teams which enables us to offer a superior service:brief us on systems implementations and we've shared the sleepless nights.Ditto when you're going through end of year reporting.

Job Title: Finance Manager Role Summary: Lead financial operations and strategic finance planning for a rapidly scaling design agency, reporting directly to Founders and a Fractional CFO. Expactations: Grow into Head of Finance within 1–2 years; oversee a small finance team; drive financial processes, reporting, and growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly financial statements. - Deliver financial insights and recommendations to Founders and senior leadership. - Manage day‑to‑day finance functions: accounts payable, billing, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting. - Lead annual accounts production and coordinate with external auditors and VAT advisers. - Automate finance processes and improve operational efficiency. - Analyze product profitability, pricing, and cost management. - Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing junior finance team. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and strategic finance skills. - Proven experience managing full finance cycle in a high‑growth environment. - Leadership and team‑building abilities. - Excellent communication for cross‑functional collaboration. - Process improvement and automation mindset. - Systems proficiency (Xero preferred); exposure to multi‑entity finance and WIP accounting a bonus. Management Accountant | Fast Growth SME | 6 Month FTC
Job Description
Job Title: Management Accountant Role Summary: Provide commercial financial leadership for a rapidly scaling SME, partnering closely with the Finance Director and cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and ERP support. Expectations: - Thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. - Work independently and collaboratively with executive and operational stakeholders. - Demonstrate a proactive, hands‑on approach to financial process improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and present monthly revenue and COGS reports. - Conduct detailed variance analysis and review financial performance. - Produce monthly management accounts and support month‑end close. - Lead budgeting and forecasting activities. - Submit VAT returns and manage stock reporting. - Monitor cash flow and support financial planning. - Act as business partner to operations and supply chain functions. - Support the Finance Director on an ongoing ERP implementation.
