Senior Data Scientist
**Role Summary**
Lead high‑impact data science projects for healthcare clients, translating complex business, clinical, and policy questions into actionable analytics. Collaborate with consulting, client stakeholders, and technical teams to scope, design, deliver, and present end-to-end analytical solutions, particularly in predictive modeling, population health, and real‑world evidence studies. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the growth of the organization’s data capabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Translate ambiguous client needs into precise analytical problem statements.
- Lead end‑to‑end data science workstreams: scope, design, analysis, insight generation, and presentation.
- Design predictive models forecasting health outcomes, utilization, and sales performance.
- Conduct population health and disease burden analyses using large‑scale healthcare datasets.
- Perform real‑world evidence research, ensuring statistical rigor and interpretability.
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data, including clinical text.
- Maintain clear documentation of methods, assumptions, limitations, and implications.
- Provide analytical oversight and quality assurance within multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Support development of data science tools, notebooks, and reusable frameworks.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced statistical & machine learning expertise (e.g., regression, classification, time‑series, clustering).
- Proficiency in Python or R; experience with data processing libraries (pandas, dplyr, pyspark).
- Knowledge of SQL and big‑data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD, SNOMED, CPT).
- Experience with real‑world evidence methodology and population health analytics.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving, structured analytical thinking, and project ownership.
- Mentoring or leadership experience preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, SAS, or Cloudera) are a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering analytics solutions in the healthcare domain.
