Job Description
**Job Title** Product Manager **Role Summary** Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for a K‑12 educational product, defining strategy, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring delivery of measurable business outcomes through cross‑functional Agile teams. **Expactations** - Deliver a prioritized, data‑driven product backlog that aligns with organizational goals and educator/student needs. - Demonstrate growth and KPI ownership, communicating performance to senior leadership. - Build consensus among design, engineering, marketing, data, and research stakeholders. - Lead release planning, coordination, and quality assurance. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for the product or product area. 2. Translate business and user needs into clear requirements and priorities for design and engineering teams. 3. Represent educator and student perspectives, integrating insights from user research, product marketing, and data teams. 4. Define product‑specific key results (KPIs) and collect, analyze, and report on performance metrics. 5. Articulate product strategy and tactical priorities, linking expected value to business growth and KPIs. 6. Leverage cross‑functional relationships to secure buy‑in, align resources, and harness internal expertise. 7. Provide project management leadership during implementation, ensuring coordinated release schedules, status communication, issue resolution, and quality standards. 8. Validate tactical viability through release strategies, feedback forums, and data collection techniques. 9. Build business cases for growth opportunities and present to senior leadership. **Required Skills** - Product backlog and roadmap management - Agile/Scrum development experience - Stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration - Strong communication and presentation skills - Data analysis (Excel, BI tools, SQL) - Proficiency with JIRA, PowerPoint, and similar tools - Ability to create and validate business cases for growth **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Product management experience certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing) is a plus but not mandatory. ---
