Global Head of Digital Certification
**Role Summary**
Lead the global Digital Trust Product Certification (DTPC) portfolio, defining strategy, managing P&L, and directing a team of technical certification experts. The role shapes BSI’s digital testing and certification thought leadership, drives market access through connectable product cybersecurity testing, and influences policy and standards bodies.
**Expectations**
- Establish and communicate a forward‑looking DTPC strategy that aligns with evolving regulations and market needs.
- Deliver financial results for the Digital Domain, meeting budgeted metrics and revenue targets.
- Act as a senior advisor to executive leadership, governments, and industry groups on digital trust and certification matters.
- Foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture within the certification team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute the DTPC roadmap across all relevant sectors (IoT, connectivity, digital wallets, etc.).
- Lead the global portfolio of product certification and accreditation services, ensuring compliance with standards such as ETSI EN 303 645, ETSI TS 103 701, EN 18031, IEC 62443, UL 2900, eIDAS 2, Digital Wallet and, where applicable, R&D/EU 2014/53/EU.
- Own P&L for the Digital Domain; drive profitability through effective cost management and revenue growth.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and business support to sales forces during certification engagements.
- Represent the organization in thought‑leadership forums, influencing policy, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Mentor and develop a high‑competence technical certification team, ensuring continuous skill growth and quality delivery.
**Required Skills**
- Deep knowledge of DTPC regulations, directives and global cybersecurity standards for IoT and digital products.
- Proficiency in quality management standards (ISO 9001, ISO 19011, etc.) and their application within certification processes.
- Strong strategic planning, roadmap development, and program management capabilities.
- Proven P&L ownership and financial acumen.
- Exceptional leadership, motivation, decision‑making and influence at senior levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into business value for diverse stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Professional certifications in quality management, cybersecurity, or product certification (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, CRISC, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated regulatory or professional services experience within digital trust or product certification.
