Job Description
**Job Title** Materials & Process Engineering Intern **Role Summary** Support the Innovation & Development team in developing technical data and methodology for metal casting and heat treatment processes, with a focus on the lost‑wax casting process. Design and validate mechanical characterization methods, develop experimental plans, and initiate initial characterization tests. **Expectations** - 6‑month final‑year internship. - Enrolled in an engineering or Master’s program (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy). - Demonstrated curiosity, rigor, and ability to learn quickly. - Team‑oriented, collaborative mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Select suitable test specimens for casting, surface preparation, and machining. - Design and program the most appropriate testing program and protocol. - Validate the capability of the characterization method. - Identify key parameters affecting the experimental design. - Initiate the global characterization specification (cahier des charges). - Conduct initial characterization trials on casting materials. **Required Skills** - Strong foundation in materials physics, mechanics, and metallurgy. - Familiarity with material characterization techniques (hardness, tensile, micro‑structure analysis, etc.). - Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis. - Analytical problem‑solving and troubleshooting. - Effective communication and teamwork. - Quick adaptation to new subjects and technologies. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current student in the final year of an engineering or Master’s degree (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy). - Academic background equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant field.
