**Job Title:** Software Development Engineer Intern (Winter, Spring, or Summer '26)
**Role Summary:**
Join the engineering team to design, develop, and test production‑grade features for a modern, cloud‑native file data platform. Work collaboratively on code, architecture, and debugging while gaining hands‑on experience with C, Rust, and Python in a fast‑paced, distributed‑systems environment.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver well‑structured, well‑tested code on schedule.
- Actively participate in design discussions, code reviews, and pair‑programming sessions.
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively with team members and leads.
- Show initiative in learning new technologies and problem‑solving techniques.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate on feature design, architecture, and implementation.
- Write, test, and maintain code in C, Rust, and Python.
- Conduct code reviews and pair‑program with peers.
- Debug and resolve test failures, product bugs, and service issues.
- Contribute to both customer‑facing features and internal tooling improvements.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in at least one language: C, C++, Rust, Java, or Go (academic project, internship, or personal work).
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and fundamentals of distributed systems, databases, concurrency, or operating systems.

**Required Education & Certifications:**
