Job Description

Job title: IT Systems Engineer (Azure) Role Summary: Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure to ensure high performance, cost efficiency, and secure, compliant operations within a global clinical research environment. Expactations: - Deliver reliable Azure services for compute, storage, networking, and identity. - Optimize resource utilization and expenditure. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure-related incidents. - Maintain documentation and support processes for Azure service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy and configure Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, security). - Manage and monitor Azure cost, performance, and compliance. - Provide technical support and issue resolution for Azure services and integrations. - Automate configuration and deployment using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bicep. - Administer Microsoft 365 and related security features. - Oversee backup and disaster recovery with Veeam and Azure Backup. - Maintain on‑prem hardware knowledge for hybrid solutions. - Ensure adherence to security standards (Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor). Required Skills: - Proficient in English (written & spoken). - Hands‑on Microsoft Azure administration (compute, storage, networking, identity). - Deep knowledge of Windows Server & Active Directory, including hybrid Entra ID. - Scripting & automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep). - Microsoft 365 administration and security. - Backup & DR experience (Veeam, Azure Backup). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Familiarity with on‑prem hardware components. Required Education & Certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or higher). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
