Job Description
Job title: Network Operation Engineer (1‑Year Fixed Term, Chinese Speaking) Role Summary: Provide 24/7 NOC support, monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, manage incidents, implement performance improvements, maintain documentation, and perform shift‑based operations including on‑call duties. Expectations: - Shift‑based availability: nights, weekends, holidays, rotating schedule. - Proactive monitoring, rapid incident resolution, and effective cross‑team escalation. - Continuous improvement of network reliability and capacity planning. - Accurate operational reporting and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor systems, applications, and networks with NOC tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.). - Identify, analyze, and log alerts; conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents. - Escalate incidents, coordinate with vendors and internal teams for resolution. - Track and report performance metrics; recommend and implement reliability enhancements. - Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting on servers, OS (Windows/Linux), and applications. - Maintain and update operational procedures, knowledge base, and incident records. - Ensure smooth handovers between shifts; support on‑call standby. Required Skills: - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese. - Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment. - Team player with proactive attitude. - Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Required Education & Certifications: - Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. - 1–3 years in IT support, systems administration, or network operations. - Optional certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) or virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
