Job Description: **Job Title:** Engineering Lead (Staff) **Role Summary:** Lead architectural strategy and technical delivery for mobile apps (iOS, Android, Apple Watch) and backend systems. Oversee cross-functional product teams, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, secure solutions aligned with company goals. Foster engineering culture and streamline CI/CD processes to accelerate feature delivery. **Expectations:** - Hands-on leadership in technical strategy and project execution across mobile, backend, and integrations. - Collaborate with CTO, product, and design leads to prioritize and align development with business objectives. - Mentor Tech Leads and engineers, providing strategic guidance without creating bottlenecks. - Drive scalable, maintainable software solutions and resolve complex system-wide challenges. - Maintain high-performance engineering practices through code reviews, tooling improvements, and knowledge sharing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and architect technical solutions for full-stack features across mobile, backend, and third-party integrations. - Own end-to-end delivery of initiatives, including testing, release, and post-launch support. - Establish and align cross-squad engineering priorities, removing blockers and dependencies. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, frequent deployments. - Track development progress across teams and ensure alignment with strategic goals. - Contribute to codebases proactively to unblock teams, prototype, or improve quality. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years in software engineering with technical leadership experience. - Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript; proficiency in React-Native for mobile apps. - Strong full-stack development experience (frontend + AWS serverless architecture). - Proven background designing and shipping large-scale React-Native production apps. - Deep understanding of iterative development, CI/CD, test automation, and collaborative workflows. - Leadership in mentorship, team growth, and managing complex projects from design to release. **Required Education & Certifications:** - BS/MS in Computer Science or related field preferred. - No specific certifications required.
