**Job Title**: Advanced Analytical Chemistry Apprentice **Role Summary**: Provide Level 6 apprenticeship training in analytical chemistry within a research‑driven inkjet‑printing R&D environment. Apply chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and rheology to develop sustainable, high‑performance ink formulations and support laboratory transformation with robotics, automation, and AI. --- **Expatcations** (Expectations) - Complete Level 6 apprenticeship training. - Contribute to next‑generation sustainable ink product development. - Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration across Analytical Chemistry, Advanced Technology, and Product Development teams. - Demonstrate initiative, independent problem‑solving, and effective teamwork. --- **Key Responsibilities** - Perform advanced analytical tests on raw materials, inks, printers, and substrates. - Integrate chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and rheology to generate actionable data. - Assist in laboratory automation, robotics deployment, and AI‑driven workflow optimisation. - Support development of stable ink formulations and testing protocols. - Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and quality records. --- **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and laboratory technique skills. - Proficiency with chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and rheology methodologies. - Ability to operate and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Self‑motivated with independent work ethic and team collaboration. --- **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum of GCSE passes (including Maths and English) at grade A*‑C/9‑4. - At least two A‑Level subjects (including Chemistry) or equivalent scientific qualification/experience. - Level 6 apprenticeship qualification in Analytical Chemistry or related field (to be achieved during the role).
