Job Description
Job Title Senior Business Development Manager Role Summary Lead strategic business development for a training and technology organisation focused on advanced manufacturing. Own client engagements, shape growth initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions. Expectations - Drive revenue growth and market expansion. - Build and sustain strong relationships with C‑suite and key decision‑makers. - Mentor and develop junior BD talent. - Serve as the primary liaison between client needs and cross‑functional delivery teams. - Represent the organisation at industry events and networking forums. Key Responsibilities - Lead high‑level client engagements and articulate the value proposition. - Partner with senior leadership to define and execute growth strategies. - Mentor junior BD team members in meetings, solution design, and account planning. - Coordinate with product, training, and operations teams to deliver customized solutions. - Identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts. - Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts. - Represent the organisation at relevant industry events and forums. Required Skills - Proven senior‑level business development or account management experience (5+ years). - Exceptional communication and influencing skills, adept at engaging C‑suite stakeholders. - Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, solution‑driven approach. - Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. - Strong CRM proficiency and data‑driven decision making. - Industry knowledge in training, education, or manufacturing sectors preferred. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. - MBA or advanced business qualification is an advantage. - Professional certification in business development, sales, or a related discipline (e.g., Certified Business Development Professional) preferred.
