Job title: Senior Manager, Creative Operations – Packaging & VMSD
Role Summary:
Lead operational strategy and execution for global Visual Merchandising and Packaging Design (VMSD) initiatives. Own systems, workflows, project lifecycles, and cross‑functional alignment to deliver creative concepts on time, within budget, and at scale.
Expectations:
- Deliver end‑to‑end project delivery from briefing through production and market rollout.
- Optimize processes, tools, and reporting to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain budget discipline and vendor contract compliance.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration between Creative, Marketing, Packaging Development, Purchasing, and global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously improve Workfront processes, workflows, and tooling for VMSD and Packaging teams.
- Manage project intake, prioritization, assignment, and resource capacity across both teams.
- Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycle: briefing, timeline protection, scope management, budget control, risk assessment, risk mitigation, and status reporting.
- Serve as operational bridge to cross‑functional partners and global markets; coordinate cross‑functional project communication and creative review cadences.
- Track and manage annual budgets, estimates, invoices, and purchase orders for North American and Global VMSD and packaging design.
- Oversee Global VMSD campaign order process with Purchasing; act as key point of contact for fabricators, material suppliers, POSM vendors, and artisans.
- Develop vendor calendars, track deliverables, ensure schedule adherence, and manage feasibility, prototyping, and value engineering for new launches and evergreen toolkits.
- Liaise on seasonal and core visual merchandising guidelines to markets; partner with global teams for channel‑specific graphics and copy.
- Support special projects (Hospitality/Global Theaters, new store design) by managing timelines and deliverables.
- Build and manage packaging artwork project plans in Workfront; route, approve, track milestones.
- Manage creative workflows with Packaging Development, Project Management, Innovation, Marketing, and Purchasing.
- Validate artwork turnaround feasibility and ensure final artwork (copy, translations, die‑lines) receipt and release.
- Build relationships with cross‑functional partners and global markets; identify workflow gaps and drive operational improvement.
Required Skills:
- Project management expertise in creative/packaging or visual merchandising environments.
- Strong proficiency with Workfront (or comparable project‑management suite).
- Proven ability to manage multi‑team, multi‑stage projects and deliver on complex creative timelines.
- Vendor management and procurement experience, including contract negotiations and budget tracking.
- Excellent communication skills; able to coordinate across global teams and external partners.
- Risk management skills and data‑driven decision making.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or related field.
- PMP, Project Management Professional, or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with global supply chain or packaging design workflow acceptable.
