Job Description
**Job Title:** Legal Intern – Data Protection & Compliance **Role Summary:** Assist the Legal, Compliance and Internal Control team in implementing GDPR compliance, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, conducting legal research on data protection, anti-money laundering, health and competition law, and monitoring regulatory changes. Coordinate with operational teams to translate business needs into legal solutions. **Expectations:** • Complete a minimum 6‑month internship starting July 2026. • Work under the guidance of the Legal Head, DPO and Compliance leads. • Produce high‑quality documentation and support risk management activities. • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to non‑legal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - **GDPR Compliance:** Update data‑protection policies, draft procedures, consult on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs). - **Commercial Contracts:** Draft, review, and analyze commercial agreements; monitor contract expiry and renewal schedules. - **Legal Research:** Investigate issues in privacy law, anti‑money‑laundering (AML), health law, competition law, and insurance law. - **Regulatory Monitoring:** Track legislative and regulatory developments; produce concise briefs for senior management. - **Operational Collaboration:** Liaise with business units to understand legal requirements and propose compliant solutions. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of GDPR and privacy‑related legislation. - Understanding of commercial contract law; ability to draft and negotiate terms. - Proficient legal research and analytical skills. - Excellent written communication and drafting abilities. - Analytical thinking, synthesis, and organizational rigor. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to convey complex concepts to non‑legal audiences. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current law student progressing to a Master’s degree in Data Protection Law, Business Law, or equivalent (Master 2). - Eligibility for a PPI (Présence, Prolongation, Innovation) internship; pursuit of law degree in final year. - Open to candidates with disabilities. ---
