Job Description
**Job title** Software Engineer (WiFi) **Role Summary** Develop and maintain low‑level C firmware and drivers for CEVA’s turnkey Wi‑Fi IP platforms. Focus on 802.11 MAC‑level features, system‑level architecture, and macOS tool integration to enable next‑generation connectivity solutions. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code that meets Wi‑Fi standards. - Translate protocol specifications into robust software implementations. - Support embedded hardware integration, testing, and debugging. - Maintain clear documentation of architecture, APIs, and integration guidelines. - Continuously improve the development workflow and tooling. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Analyze Wi‑Fi (802.11) standards and produce software design documents. 2. Design, code, and test C drivers, platform‐specific components, and development tools. 3. Integrate software modules into embedded platforms and validate on target hardware (simulation, FPGA, SoC). 4. Troubleshoot cross‑layer issues, provide root‑cause analyses, and deliver fixes. 5. Produce and maintain architecture, API, and integration documentation. 6. Collaborate with internal team members and customers to resolve issues and deliver timely support. 7. Drive continuous improvement of the development environment by adopting new technologies and enhancing processes. **Required Skills** - 5+ years embedded software development in C/C++. - Proficiency with Linux and embedded operating systems. - Deep understanding of Wi‑Fi 802.11 MAC/PHY layers and wireless networking. - Low‑level firmware design, embedded architecture, and system‑level integration. - Debugging across simulation, FPGA, and SoC environments. - Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills. - Fluency in English. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., IPC‑7250, IEEE 802.11 compliance) are a plus.
