Job title: Field Sales Engineer, UK & Ireland
Role Summary: Responsible for the technical aspects of sales opportunities across the UK & Ireland, acting as a trusted security advisor and delivering solutions that meet customer security, risk and compliance needs across on‑prem and cloud environments.
Expectations:
- Own product positioning, demos, technical validation, and proof‑of‑concepts.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires; contribute to proposal development.
- Build strong technical relationships to drive customer success and partner enablement.
- Travel up to 50% to client sites, industry events and partner activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct discovery, needs assessment and solution design sessions.
- Deliver product demos, deep dives, and PoCs to business and technical audiences.
- Lead technical discussions and validation activities during the sales cycle.
- Provide technical input on proposals, RFP responses, and security questionnaires.
- Train partners and enable internal sales teams on technical aspects of Bitdefender solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D and Operations to align solutions with customer requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events and partner activities.
Required Skills:
- 2–3+ years of security pre‑sales / sales engineering experience.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Endpoint Security, EDR/XDR, SIEM, Email Security, and Threat Intelligence.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security concepts.
- Knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, GDPR, DORA, NIS2).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Microsoft, Nutanix) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Customer‑focused, collaborative, and technically curious mindset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
- Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP preferred.
