Job Description: **Job Title** Java Developer **Role Summary** Develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications in Java for public and private sector clients. Collaborate with technical leads and other developers throughout the full application lifecycle, from requirement analysis to production deployment. **Expectations** * Deliver quality code on time, following best practices and architectural guidelines. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients to clarify requirements. * Demonstrate ownership of assigned modules and proactive problem‑solving. * Participate in continuous improvement of development processes and tooling. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, code, and integrate Java components using Spring and Hibernate. * Implement and consume Web Services (SOAP, REST, HTTP). * Configure and deploy applications on Glassfish or Tomcat servers. * Write technical and functional specifications. * Perform unit, integration, and regression testing; manage defect resolution. * Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards. * Manage source code with Git/Gerrit or Subversion; build projects with Maven. * Maintain and optimize relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). * Support production environments, including bug fixes and minor enhancements. **Required Skills** * 3–5 years of professional Java development experience. * Proficiency in Spring framework and Hibernate ORM. * Experience with Web Service development (SOAP, REST). * Familiarity with application servers (Glassfish, Tomcat). * Knowledge of Maven build tools and Eclipse IDE. * Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL. * Version control: Git/Gerrit, Subversion. * Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. * No specific certifications required; knowledge of Java EE or Spring certifications is a plus.
