Job Description
**Job title** Payroll Engine Developer **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain the core calculation engine of a payroll/HR software system. Work within a small cross‑functional team to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing and high‑quality, performant code. **Expactations** - Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in payroll software or ERP HR development (e.g., ADP, Sage, Cegid). - Demonstrated familiarity with social security regulations and payroll data exchange (DSN). - Proven track record of debugging and enhancing production payroll logic. **Key Responsibilities** - Evolve and correct the payroll calculation engine, integrating new regulations and user requirements. - Verify legal compliance through DSN monitoring and updates to legislation. - Optimize code quality and performance, applying rigorous testing and unit regression tests. - Collaborate closely with product owners and the technical lead to prioritize feature enhancements. - Participate in code reviews, ensuring maintainability and adherence to best practices. **Required Skills** - Strong programming in VBScript, SQL, or comparable scripting languages. - Solid algorithmic thinking, logical reasoning, and meticulous attention to detail. - Experience with version control, automated testing, and continuous integration. - Ability to translate regulatory changes into functional code. - Good communication skills for effectively liaising with stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (Bac+3) to Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Computer Science (software development) or Applied Mathematics with a focus on management. - Relevant certifications in payroll systems or HR technology are advantageous but not mandatory.
