Job Title: Test Rig Engineer – Automotive – Functional Testing (LabVIEW)
Role Summary:
Lead the operation, development, and maintenance of advanced test rigs for hybrid transmissions. Own the unloaded test rigs to expand system knowledge, develop hardware and software solutions (LabVIEW, Veristand, Python, CANape), troubleshoot issues, and standardize testing procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
Expectations:
* Own and continuously improve test rig performance for hybrid transmission validation.
* Deliver reliable, precise test results and ensure repeatability.
* Drive process improvements and KPI implementation.
* Act as primary contact for operational issues, providing systematic problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and validate hybrid transmission test rigs, collecting and analyzing performance data.
* Design, develop, and maintain test rig hardware and software, including real‑time platforms, LabVIEW, Veristand, and automation tools.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software failures, implement preventive measures, and document solutions.
* Collaborate with validation, test engineering, rig operators, and R&D teams to optimize testing workflows.
* Create and maintain documentation, test plans, and standard operating procedures.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive testing quality and efficiency.
Required Skills:
* Proficiency in LabVIEW and Veristand for test rig software development.
* Strong programming background (e.g., Python, C/C++).
* Knowledge of real‑time systems and automotive CAN bus protocols.
* Understanding of control theory, structural dynamics, and high‑voltage applications.
* Experience with automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment, and electromechanics.
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
* No specific certifications required, but familiarity with automotive testing standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is advantageous.
