Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior OT Cyber Security Engineer (Critical Infrastructure) **Role Summary:** Lead cyber risk management for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) within power generation and energy infrastructure. Ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards, support audits, and provide expert guidance to engineering, IT, and operations teams to embed security‑by‑design and maintain cyber resilience of critical national assets. **Expectations:** - Demonstrate deep expertise in OT/ICS security for energy or similar critical infrastructure. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of NERC CIP regulations and industry best practices. - Communicate effectively with engineers, regulators, and senior leadership. - Balance technical implementation with governance and audit requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Own end‑to‑end OT cyber security risk management across generation and delivery assets. 2. Conduct OT risk assessments, threat modeling, and control gap analyses. 3. Ensure ongoing compliance with NERC CIP standards; prepare evidence for audits and regulatory reviews. 4. Partner with OT engineering, IT security, and operations to integrate security‑by‑design into new and existing systems. 5. Lead incident response, vulnerability management, and continuous improvement initiatives for OT environments. 6. Serve as the subject‑matter expert to senior stakeholders on OT security strategy, controls, and regulatory matters. **Required Skills:** - Extensive experience securing SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other industrial control systems. - Strong working knowledge of NERC CIP standards and related regulatory frameworks. - Proven ability to perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and gap analysis in OT contexts. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across technical and governance audiences. - Ability to operate in a hybrid/remote environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - CISSP certification (or actively pursuing). - Additional OT/ICS security certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISA, ISA/IEC 62443) are desirable but not mandatory.
