Job title: Contract Manager / Purchasing Manager (F/M)
Role Summary:
Lead the procurement of services and capital equipment for a manufacturing site, negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts while ensuring compliance with quality, cost, risk, and regulatory requirements. Drive cost optimisation, supplier qualification, and QHSE performance across the supply chain.
Expactations:
- Deliver negotiated agreements that meet cost, quality, and risk targets.
- Maintain robust contract and supplier registries, ensuring timely renewals and terminations.
- Support operational teams by translating technical needs into procurement specifications.
- Uphold QHSE, cyber‑security, compliance, and ESG standards in all purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Analyze procurement families, benchmark costs, and propose optimisation strategies.
- Source and qualify suppliers, conduct regulatory and financial assessments.
- Create and issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and finalize purchase orders and invoices.
- Manage contract performance through dashboards and KPI reporting (QHSE, profitability, delivery).
- Resolve disputes, support litigation or arbitration with legal team, and close out contracts.
- Participate in QHSE audits, supplier evaluations, and complaint resolution.
- Ensure alignment with corporate procurement strategy, compliance policies, and ESG objectives.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of industrial procurement experience.
- Advanced negotiation and contract drafting proficiency.
- Deep understanding of legal aspects of commercial contracts.
- Expertise in end‑to‑end procurement processes: requirement definition, RFx management, evaluation, contract administration, and after‑sales monitoring.
- Strong analytical and risk‑management capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Self‑directed, methodical, detail‑oriented, with a sense of responsibility.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are advantageous.
