Job Description
**Job title:** Industrial Project Manager **Role summary:** Lead the end‑to‑end management of complex industrial projects at a refinery catalyst site, ensuring design, procurement, execution, and handover are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical and safety standards. **Expectations:** - Successfully deliver projects from conception to closure, meeting performance, quality, and safety targets. - Foster collaboration across cross‑functional teams and external partners. - Maintain accurate project documentation, risk register, and status reports. - Demonstrate proactive risk mitigation, budget control, and resource optimization. **Key responsibilities:** - Define project scope, objectives, resource allocations, and detailed schedules during the design phase. - Lead project teams, manage progress against milestones, and coordinate technical and contractual aspects. - Oversee procurement, risk identification, and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with Seveso and industry regulations. - Directly or indirectly coordinate contractors and internal resources during execution. - Supervise execution phases, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards. - Close projects, facilitate handover to production, and conduct post‑implementation reviews. - Travel to other European sites and occasional global visits as required. **Required skills:** - 10+ years of (co‑)project management experience in chemical, oil & gas, cement, or paper sectors. - Strong technical foundation in chemical or process engineering. - Seveso site experience (chemistry, oil & gas, cement, or paper) is highly desirable. - Advanced proficiency in English (oral and written). - Proven leadership, team facilitation, and stakeholder communication. - Analytical mindset, rigor, autonomy, and on‑site problem‑solving capability. **Required education & certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. - Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, or equivalent certification.
