Job Description

Job Title: Principal Software Engineer - Data Product Analytics Role Summary: Lead enterprise-scale data platform architecture and delivery for a regulated, global media and events organization. Develop secure, scalable cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) balancing innovation, security, compliance, and scalability. Expectations: Proven leadership in large-scale data engineering projects within complex, regulated environments. Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with strategic goals and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement secure, scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP. - Develop data pipelines (batch, real-time) using Python, Spark, and cloud frameworks. - Establish data quality, validation, and regulatory auditing standards. - Collaborate with teams to align data initiatives with business and compliance goals. - Oversee governance, metadata, lineage practices in Data Lake/Mesh environments. - Implement automation, observability, CI/CD for data workflows. - Mentor engineers to enhance technical clarity and project delivery consistency. Required Skills: - Expert in Python, PySpark; hands-on with Glue, Databricks, Kafka, Terraform. - Deep knowledge of data architecture, governance, privacy/security protocols. - Strong communication to translate technical concepts into business insights. - Leadership in cross-department collaboration and technical strategy alignment.
