Job Description
Job title: Manufacturing Engineer Role Summary: Provide engineering support and process improvement for the production of advanced composite materials, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Expectations: - Deliver day‑to‑day engineering input to production staff. - Manage multiple projects, develop new work packages, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure designs and processes meet customer and regulatory requirements. - Communicate effectively in English and French. Key Responsibilities: • Support plant safety, quality, and profitability objectives. • Provide technical and program management for new and existing production programs. • Review new drawings/specifications, perform cost estimation, and produce accurate ERP bills of materials, routings, process plans, tooling designs, and part sketches. • Identify and implement cost‑saving manufacturing processes and technology solutions. • Conduct root cause analysis, develop cause and corrective actions, and apply Six Sigma and lean tools to resolve production issues. • Collaborate with international engineering teams to initiate and execute new work packages. • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Required Skills: - Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering experience. - Hands‑on troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical and process improvement tools (Six Sigma, lean). - Proficiency in English and French. - Familiarity with composite aerospace manufacturing preferred.
