Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Functional Specialist – Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations **Role Summary:** Provide functional support and incident management for finance and procurement processes within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Act as the primary point of contact for end‑users, troubleshoot functional issues, and collaborate with technical teams to implement permanent fixes. Drive continuous improvement, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with financial controls. **Expectations:** - Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLA. - Bridge business and IT to deliver efficient solutions. - Maintain accurate configuration and process documentation. - Support month‑end, year‑end, budgeting, and reporting cycles. - Participate in monthly Microsoft updates and regression testing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as primary functional contact for D365 F&O finance and procurement issues. - Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents; log and track through Azure DevOps and Freshservice. - Coordinate with technical, development, and infrastructure teams on escalations and permanent fixes. - Maintain functional knowledge base, support documentation, and configuration records. - Participate in post‑incident reviews and service‑improvement initiatives. - Support design, testing, and deployment of small enhancements, workflows, and configuration changes. - Conduct functional testing cycles for system updates and hotfixes. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant, preferably in support or managed service. - Functional expertise in: - General Ledger (GL) – journal management, allocations, financial dimensions, posting profiles. - Accounts Payable (AP) – vendor invoices, payments, settlements, workflows. - Accounts Receivable (AR) – customer invoicing, cash receipts, collections. - Credit & Collections – aging, interest notes, credit management. - Fixed Assets – capitalization, depreciation, impairment, disposals. - Procurement & Sourcing – requisitions, orders, approvals, vendor collaboration. - Project Management & Accounting – WBS, funding, cost control, revenue recognition, research grant tracking. - Experience supporting month‑end/year‑end processes, budgeting, and reporting. - ITIL knowledge (incident, problem, change management). - Proficient with LCS, Azure DevOps, Freshservice. - Ability to manage functional testing for updates/hotfixes. - Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. - Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB‑310) – preferred. ---
