Job Description
Job Title: Principal Solution Engineer Role Summary: Senior technical pre‑sales engineering role focused on architecting, demonstrating, and selling Qualtrics Experience Management (XM) solutions to medium and strategic accounts. Supports sales teams through technical expertise, solution design, and value‑based presentations to C‑level decision makers. Expectations: - Drive successful outcomes on complex, GA‑level deals across multiple industries. - Translate technical features into business value and manage the solution narrative from discovery to closing. - Maintain deep product mastery of the XM platform and its competitive landscape. - Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to influence roadmap and resolve customer‑identified requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Lead technical presentations, product demos, and pilot implementations for enterprise prospects. - Architect and prototype bespoke solution designs that address customer pain points and achieve measurable business impact. - Consult with customer executives and sales teams on strategy, architecture, and ROI. - Develop sales collateral, training materials, and internal knowledge base to elevate demo proficiency across the organization. - Track industry trends and competitor capabilities; provide actionable insights to product and marketing teams. - Participate in sales planning, opportunity qualification, and business development activities. - Serve as a liaison between customers and internal product/engineering groups to clarify issues and shape releases. Required Skills: - Extensive experience in SaaS/cloud software pre‑sales engineering, with a track record of closing GA‑level deals. - Proven ability to architect end‑to‑end solutions for large enterprise accounts (C/VP level buyers). - Strong understanding of SaaS technical components: security, API integration, SLAs, messaging protocols, and data governance. - Exceptional verbal and written communication; skilled in needs analysis, value positioning, and closing techniques. - Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, and collaborative environment. - Demonstrated success in cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing. - Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities that enhance XM solutions preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with related technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Salesforce) is advantageous. ---
