**Job Title:** SC Cleared DevOps Engineer (Outside IR35) **Role Summary:** Design, build, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure for a greenfield government defence AI system. Deliver CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes orchestration, and monitoring solutions while ensuring compliance with stringent security and defence standards. **Expectations:** - Maintain high availability and security of CI/CD and deployment pipelines. - Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of infrastructure and application deployment. - Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and security teams to deliver safe, scalable solutions. - Continuously improve processes and tooling to meet evolving defence requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery. - Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools. - Deploy and manage containerised applications in Kubernetes clusters. - Implement, optimise, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. - Ensure all environments comply with security and defence standards. - Collaborate with development and data science teams to support deployment and scalability. **Required Skills:** - Active SC Clearance. - Strong proficiency in Python and CI/CD tooling. - Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). - Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. - Experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). - Familiarity with secure government or defence project environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - SC Clearance (Mandatory). - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
