Job Description: Job Title: Solutions Engineer Role Summary: Provide end‑to‑end technical pre‑sales and post‑sales support for the Coder platform, enabling enterprises in EMEA to deploy, demo, and integrate cloud development environments. Drive technical adoption, lead architecture demos, troubleshoot deployments, and translate technical requirements into business value. Expactations: - 3+ years as a Solutions or Sales Engineer in infrastructure or developer tooling. - Demonstrated ability to win technical trust with senior stakeholders. - Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, cloud IaaS (AWS, GCP, Azure), Terraform, and networking. - Strong Linux proficiency and command‑line expertise. - Proven experience troubleshooting cloud deployments and delivering proof‑of‑concepts. - Ability to document and communicate findings, feature requests, and technical insights. Key Responsibilities: - Own technical relationship with prospects through pre‑sales to technical win. - Conduct demos of the Coder platform for developer and administrator personas. - Install and configure Coder on cloud and on‑prem Kubernetes or VM environments. - Lead proof‑of‑concepts to accelerate deals and prove platform value. - Evolve into a subject‑matter expert on Cloud Development Environments. - Act as the customer’s voice, routing insights to Engineering and Product teams. - Log feature requests and issues in Git repositories; contribute documentation pull requests. - Troubleshoot Coder deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components. - Provide post‑sales technical support as needed. Required Skills: - Technical sales and support in developer tooling or infrastructure, 3+ years. - Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Experience with Terraform or comparable IaC tools, 3+ years. - Solid understanding of networking concepts, including ingress controllers, proxies, and load balancers. - Strong command‑line Linux skills. - Excellent customer‑facing communication and stakeholder management. - Ability to translate technical hurdles into clear business value. - Self‑motivated, startup‑speed execution, ownership mindset, player‑coach attitude. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes Certified Master, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
