Job Description

**Job Title**: Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary** Lead end‑to‑end development of web application modules for a data‑driven compensation SaaS platform. Collaborate with technical co‑founders to architect, implement, test, review, and maintain features across the full stack, contributing to both front‑end and back‑end codebases. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, scalable code in a fast‑paced, high‑velocity environment. - Drive architectural decisions and best practices for new modules and 0‑1 projects. - Mentor junior engineers and influence team culture toward ownership and excellence. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and ship new features for a customer‑facing web product. - Participate in all development phases: planning, architecture, coding, testing, code review, and deployment. - Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code for both React front‑end and Node back‑end services. - Integrate with GraphQL APIs (Apollo Client, Yoga) and PostgreSQL database. - Implement automated tests (Jest, Playwright) and maintain component stories (Storybook, Chromatic). - Monitor and optimize application performance using Datadog and GCP observability tools. - Collaborate with product and design teams, using Figma and Linear for requirements and issue tracking. **Required Skills** - 4+ years professional software engineering experience. - Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. - Experience with GraphQL (Apollo Client / Yoga). - Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright) and component documentation (Storybook). - Knowledge of cloud deployments (GCP – Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage). - Strong problem‑solving, code quality, and communication skills. **Bonus** - Prior high‑velocity or technically challenging roles. - Experience with Auth0, Mantine UI library, and continuous delivery pipelines (GitHub Actions). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
