Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer (6‑month contract) **Role Summary** Develop and maintain scalable platforms, APIs, and cloud services that support VFX, virtual production, and TV workflows. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance, secure, and user‑friendly software solutions in an agile environment. **Expectations** - 6+ years of professional Python web development experience, preferably with Django. - Proven ability to design, architect, and deliver complex software systems. - Strong problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven settings. - Excellent communication and time‑management abilities; self‑motivated and proactive. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, code, test, and deploy reusable, scalable server‑side applications and databases. - Build clean, well‑documented APIs for internal and external consumption. - Configure and manage IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments (e.g., AWS, on‑prem VM). - Integrate hardware and software APIs using common communication protocols. - Maintain source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and ensure code quality. - Support and troubleshoot production applications, ensuring performance, security, and stability. - Collaborate with artists, engineers, and product owners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. **Required Skills** - Python (6+ years) and Django framework. - Web development, RESTful API design, and documentation. - Database design and SQL (relational and NoSQL). - Source control (Git) and CI/CD processes. - Distributed computing and storage systems. - Integration of hardware/software APIs and communication protocols. - Agile development practices. - Strong verbal and written communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No specific certifications required; AWS or related cloud certifications are a plus.
