**Job title:**
Data Science & AI Intern (X/F/H)
**Role Summary:**
A half‑year internship combining research and consulting projects within a data‑marketing lab. 50 % of the time focuses on operational client projects (e.g., customer‑knowledge analysis, segmentation, scoring, marketing performance analytics); the other 50 % is devoted to an internal research project in the NEXT by Epsilon Lab. Guidance is provided by a Data Science Manager and a project team of experts.
**Expectations:**
- Apply data‑science methodologies to real‑world marketing problems.
- Deliver actionable insights, predictive models, and AI‑generated content.
- Collaborate across data, technology, and business teams.
- Follow best‑practice processes, document code and results, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Contribute to product development and prototype demonstration.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement predictive / generative features for personalization within Amplify CDP (GCP), including NBO/NBA, dynamic scoring, content generation, offer orchestration, identity reconciliation.
- Build and refine segmentation models, churn and affinity scores, geo‑marketing dashboards.
- Develop NLP and generative‑AI solutions for consumer comment analysis and product description generation.
- Create customer‑journey recommendation engines and substitution models.
- Enhance data quality for commodity‑product attributes and product‑feed processes.
- Construct marketing‑mix‑modeling frameworks (Bayesian) to quantify contribution of marketing and digital levers.
- Prototype and test AI agents for CRM campaign management and quality assessment.
- Document methodologies, outputs, and best practices for internal and client use.
- Participate in lab meetings, knowledge sharing, and cross‑disciplinary collaborations.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong programming in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, AI Platform).
- Familiarity with CDPs (e.g., Amplify) and data‑integration pipelines.
- Proficiency in statistical modelling, machine‑learning, and predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of NLP techniques and generative‑AI frameworks.
- Basics in Bayesian modeling and marketing‑mix‑modeling concepts.
- Ability to translate business questions into data‑science solutions.
- Good communication skills for reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Self‑directed learning and teamwork orientation.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Current enrolment in a Master’s or PhD program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Coursework or projects in machine learning, natural language processing, AI, or quantitative marketing analytics.
- Optional certifications: Google Cloud Certified – Data Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate.
