Job Description

**Job Title:** Penetration Tester (CHECK CTM/CTL) **Role Summary** Experienced penetration tester delivering high-assurance security assessments for government, defense, and commercial clients. Requires active UK SC clearance and expertise in web application security. **Expectations** - Operate at CHECK Team Member (CTM) or Team Leader (CTL) level. - Focus on technical penetration testing and security reporting. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct penetration tests across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Active Directory. - Lead or coordinate testing engagements for clients in regulated environments. - Deliver detailed reports on vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, and remediation strategies. - Collaborate with client stakeholders to scope assessments and define objectives. - Participate in peer reviews and contribute to refining internal testing methodologies. - Mentor junior team members and support development of testing capabilities. **Required Skills** - Web application testing using OWASP methodologies. - API security, authentication testing, and infrastructure/network security analysis. - Cloud platform security (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Proficiency in tools: Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit. - Scripting/development skills (Python, Bash, JavaScript). - Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI DSS). **Required Education & Certifications** - CHECK CTM/CTL certification or equivalent experience. - Current or eligible UK Security Clearance (SC). - Working knowledge of Linux/Windows environments. - Familiarity with OWASP Testing Guide, OWASP Top 10, and industry security standards.
