**Job title** Associate, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy **Role summary** Provide legal counsel on cybersecurity and data privacy matters for a diversified client roster. Support compliance with global privacy laws, develop security strategies, draft protections, handle breaches, assist in litigation, and deliver training. **Expectations** - Junior‑to‑mid level associate blend of independence and teamwork. - Proactive problem‑solving and strategic thinking in a fast‑paced environment. - Manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines. **Key responsibilities** - Advise clients on GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks. - Draft, negotiate, and review data‑protection agreements, policies, and procedures. - Counsel on incident response, breach notification, and risk‑management plans. - Support litigation and regulatory investigations related to cybersecurity. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address emerging threats. - Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in privacy and cybersecurity. - Design and deliver privacy compliance training and workshops. **Required skills** - Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities. - Excellent written and oral communication with clients and internal stakeholders. - Project‑management skills to juggle multiple tasks concurrently. - Detail orientation and sound judgment under pressure. **Required education & certifications** - Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. - Bar admission and good standing in the District of Columbia. - Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity and data privacy law (GDPR, CCPA).
