Job Title: Intern, Wireless Systems Research Role Summary: Ph.D. interns in EE/CS/CE join InterDigital AI Lab to develop AI/ML-enhanced wireless prototypes, publish findings, and contribute to next‑generation wireless protocols and network algorithms. Expactations: - Work full‑time on AI‑driven wireless research, prototype testbeds, and publish in top conferences (MobiSys, SIGCOMM, ICC, GLOBECOM). - Collaborate with senior researchers on wireless protocols, network optimization, and 6G‑ready solutions. - Demonstrate innovative research ideas that merge machine learning with signal processing. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement end‑to‑end wireless testbed prototypes using open‑source SDN and SDR platforms. - Develop and evaluate optimization algorithms for ultra‑reliable low‑latency communications (URLLC) in dense user scenarios. - Build deep‑learning based end‑to‑end communication chains and test real‑time performance. - Apply online learning techniques to adapt dynamic wireless systems. - Integrate ROS‑based robotic platforms (Robo/​Turtlebot) for networked robotics research in 6G contexts. - Document experimental results, write technical reports, and co‑author conference papers. - Maintain code repositories, scripts, and simulation models in Python.
