Job Description
**Job Title** Lead Risk Quantification Engineer **Role Summary** Lead and manage risk quantification activities for a major LNG project, ensuring high‑quality deliverables, adherence to schedules, budgets, and international safety standards. **Expectations** * Provide expert technical leadership in risk quantification and process safety engineering. * Drive continuous improvement of risk assessment processes and deliverables. * Align engineering activities with project goals, client expectations, and sustainability targets. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Lead the design and execution of consequence modeling, quantitative risk assessment (QRA), and probabilistic studies (EERA, FRA, ERA). 2. Produce core deliverables and conduct technical reviews of colleagues’ work. 3. Manage a small risk quantification team: task allocation, performance oversight, and quality assurance. 4. Monitor project schedule, budget, and contractual obligations related to safety studies. 5. Interface with multidisciplinary project teams (process, civil, instrumentation, packages, etc.) and partners. 6. Attend project meetings, address technical queries, and respond to stakeholder comments. 7. Prepare weekly status reports and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders. **Required Skills** * 10+ years in safety or loss‑prevention engineering within oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors. * Advanced proficiency in PHAST‑Advanced; CFD (FLACS) and other consequence‑modeling tools. * Solid experience with QRA, EERA, FRA, ERA, RAM studies. * Strong knowledge of international safety standards (NFPA, API, etc.) and risk‑based design methodology. * Demonstrated ability to manage a technical team and deliver high‑quality outputs on time and budget. * Excellent written and verbal communication in English; ability to work autonomously in multicultural teams. * Proficiency with standard office productivity tools. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree + 5 years (Bac+5) or equivalent in Industrial Process Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. * Professional certifications in risk assessment or process safety (e.g., Certified Process Safety Engineer, ISO 45001 lead auditor) are advantageous. * Fluency in English.
