Job Title: Systems Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for maintaining operational readiness of the company’s system and network infrastructure while contributing to strategic projects such as virtualization, backup, messaging, and security. Ensures continuity of services across the group and supports modernization and automation initiatives.
Expectations
- Deliver 24/7 reliable system and network operations.
- Implement and enforce security policies aligned with ISO 27001.
- Collaborate on infrastructure migrations and modernization efforts.
- Produce clear, up‑to‑date documentation for internal knowledge bases and ServiceNow processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Administration
- Manage Microsoft environments (Entra ID, O365, Exchange, Active Directory).
- Oversee user accounts, security groups, and MFA configuration.
2. Virtualization & Backup
- Operate VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, Proxmox stacks.
- Manage backup solutions (Veeam, Zerto) and ensure data protection plans (PCA/PRA).
3. Network & Telephony
- Supervise wireless and wired networks (Meraki, Aruba).
- Deploy and integrate Zoom for voice and video communications.
4. Observability & Security
- Maintain SIEM platform (splunk or equivalent) – logs, dashboards, alert rules.
- Participate in SIEM evolution for anomaly detection.
5. Projects & Automation
- Contribute to migration, modernization, and automation projects using Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Update internal wiki and ServiceNow processes.
6. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain accurate documentation of configuration, procedures, and incident handling.
Required Skills
- Expertise in VMware, vSphere, Hyper‑V, Proxmox, Veeam, Zerto, Meraki, Aruba, Zoom.
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred).
- Scripting proficiency: PowerShell, Bash, or similar; experience with Ansible, Terraform.
- Strong understanding of security principles: MFA, access control, ISO 27001 compliance.
- Ability to document processes and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic Linux administration knowledge (plus points).
Required Education & Certifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in systems and network administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSA/MCSA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Splunk Certified Enterprise Administrator.
