Job title: Software Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and deploy components of a privacy‑focused SaaS platform, translating product roadmap priorities into high‑quality code while maintaining clean architecture and observability.
Expectations: Deliver features within defined deadlines, uphold code quality standards, collaborate cross‑functionally in a squad model (Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Designer), and continuously improve processes, tools, and product capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end‑to‑end engineering of product features, from technical design through production release.
- Participate in roadmap planning, prioritisation, and technical decision‑making.
- Write clean, maintainable TypeScript/Node.js/React code, integrating with MongoDB and supporting services.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GitLab, orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes.
- Apply ancillary technologies (Go, ElasticSearch, OpenAI, OpenPolicyAgent, Tyk, Metabase) where suitable.
- Ensure observability, performance, security, and compliance metrics meet requirements.
- Communicate progress and risks to squad and stakeholders; challenge assumptions constructively.
- Leverage AI tools to optimise development flow and code quality.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, GitLab, Kubernetes.
- Experience with Go, ElasticSearch, OpenAI, OpenPolicyAgent, Tyk, Metabase (or analogous tools).
- Strong understanding of clean‑code principles and scalable architecture.
- Ability to balance rapid delivery with maintainable, secure design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Problem‑solving mindset, proactive attitude, customer‑centric focus.
- Familiarity with AI‑powered development aids.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or relevant backend technologies are an asset.
