Job Description
**Job Title:** Intern – Data & Analytics (Data Analyst Intern) **Role Summary:** Support the Business Intelligence team in delivering reliable, actionable data insights. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop optimized queries, create dynamic dashboards, and contribute to data‑driven decision making across the organization. **Expectations:** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. - Proficient in SQL and Python. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation skills. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Self‑motivated and able to work independently with mentorship. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute a summer‑long data analysis, visualization, or reporting project with clear business impact. - Partner with data analysts, business analysts, and stakeholders to define problems and data solutions. - Work with data engineers and quantitative researchers to develop, clean, and wrangle large‑scale datasets for BI use. - Build and maintain responsive dashboards/reports using Sigma Computing (or comparable tools). - Write optimized SQL queries against Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses). - Present project findings to the Data & Analytics team and relevant business units. - Gain exposure to financial products, trading systems, and high‑performance technical platforms. **Required Skills:** - SQL (advanced) - Python (data manipulation, analysis) - Data visualization concepts; experience with Sigma, Tableau, Power BI a plus - Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery) a plus - Strong analytical reasoning and creative problem‑solving - Excellent communication and presentation abilities - Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. - No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or projects in data analysis, SQL, Python, or BI tools preferred.
