Job Description

**Job title:** Contracts Manager **Role summary:** Lead and manage the responsive repairs contract for social housing, supervising operational teams and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality service delivery, compliance, and cost‑effective performance. **Expectations:** Deliver services against contractual KPIs, maintain health & safety and quality standards, manage budgets and forecasts, build client and stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement and innovation. **Key responsibilities:** - Oversee day‑to‑day management of the responsive repairs contract. - Lead, motivate and coordinate supervisors, operatives and subcontractors. - Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards and contractual KPIs. - Cultivate relationships with clients, residents and internal stakeholders. - Monitor, forecast and allocate budgets and resources for cost‑effective delivery. - Champion continuous improvement and innovative practices across the service. **Required skills:** - Proven leadership and team management in contracts and construction. - Strong understanding of social housing and repair service challenges. - Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities. - Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics. **Required education & certifications:** - Relevant professional qualification in construction contracting, procurement or similar (e.g., RICS, CIOB). - Ability to obtain a Basic DBS check.
